Hello, I´m trying, without success, import a QT animation clip in to a bin using link to AMA files.

    Clip propierties:
    QT Animation
    resolution 960×720
    23.98 fps

    Project propiertes:
    720p/23.076
    960×720 raster

What can I do, Im using AMC 5.0.3 and this version has QT AMA plugin integrated by default.

    Thanks.

Can you clarify what happens and HOW you are doing it?

Can you not AMA link OR Import? These are 2 different things.

Can you play the animation file at the desktop level (outside of Avid) in Quicktime?

Sorry…. I can´t link the clip via AMA. Clip works fine at desktop level.

What do you mean “can’t link’. What is the error message? Does it work if you import?

    This is the message:
There were errors linking AMA files. See console for details.

In console, appears a log AMA link Files list and in the Plugin QuickTime vendor line:
“Vendor Name=Avid Technology, Inc. Version = 1.0 Could not process /Volumes/Data/endcredits_HD.mov

I can import QT whitout problem.

Well, at least you can get it in somehow!

You can try AMA linking in a project with a different frame size / rate, see if that helps.

There are a few patches to 5.0.3, I think 5.0.3.8 or so is available. Perhaps one of those would work…?

What happens if you import instead?

    Jeff, I can import.
I would like know why can´t I use AMA link with this codec.
    Avid Quicktime plugin guide says:
“If you can play the QuickTime movie with the QuickTime player, you should be able to link
and play the same file with Avid’s QuickTime AMA Plug-in.”

    Thanks!
