Still have Capture Problem
I am making the transition from Liquid to Media Composer and I am having some trouble capturing audio and video at the same time. I am capturing from a Sony GV-D1000 that is detected as a generic device. When I open the capture window and try to select the Video and Audio tabs, I receive a message that reads “You may not capture audio and video together unless the audio sample clock is pulled down.” When I try to click on the pulldown tab I get a message that it is not available.
I managed to get my footage into AVID using the software that comes with the ROXIO burner suite to capture then import into AVID. It seems to me that this new $3k AVID software should be able to do what the $100 software package does saving me some time.
I should note that I even tried hooking up a camera that was recognized by AVID and it still would not import Audio and Video at the same time giving me the same message as above.
I am a long time Liquid user and while I am looking forward to learning Media Composer, I am finding the learning curve frustrating. Any help or guidance I could get on this issue so I can capture some footage and start learning to edit with Media Composer would be greatly appreciated. I am using (or trying to use) version 5 of Media Composer.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Camilo
