    Hello all
We’re having some problems with some footage we shot on the EX3 camera. We upgraded to AVID MC 4 working on an Adrenaline system. We brought the footage in through the AMA and then transcoded and consolidated the footage to make it workable – we thought we wouldn’t need to do this, but we were unable to make the footage work with effects – in particular the speed effect. all was working well until last week when we attempted to work with this footage again and found that it was AGAIN seemingly “unrendered” meaning – there was a green dot on the clip and when we tried to apply the speed effect again it would not work. Very frustrating because we spent the time transcoding and consolidating the footage specifically to use this effect.
After reading some threads in the forum, we turned off the AMA volume mount, but this still doesn’t seem to help.
    Anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance,
    Genevieve

What is the exact version of MC 4 you are using?

    Mac or Windows?

We’re running AVID MC 4 on the Adrenaline system through Windows.

Do you know the exact version of MC 4? I don’t know what the issue is but I wanted to see if you were running the latest patch. I think it’s 4.0.5.6

We’re running 4.0.5.1, so I will definitely try the patch. We are working on a project that began quite a few years ago so is native 29.97 and the XDCAM footage is of course in 24 so we had to upgrade to MC4 just to have mixed frame rates in our project. Not sure if this is what the issue is? What do you think?

In your media creation settings under the ‘render’ tab there is a “same as source” box…. try selecting that.

Under the render tab in media creation – same as source box – is already checked. So that’s not it. Thanks though.

I tried running the patches and that did not help. Any chance we could be having some trouble with the AVID not reading a codec properly?
