  Adding Effects to Graphics

  Can someone help me. I am trying to figure out how I can add a filter effect such as a blur to a graphic without it also bluring the underlaying video. For example: I have my video on V1 and a graphic i am keying over it on V2. I want to add a blur filter to the graphic on V2, but it also blurs the video on V1. Is there anyway to work around that, or is it just something i can’t do?

  Step inside the key effect on V2. Now drop your blur on the video inside. This way it will only affect what is inside the key effect, and nothing below.

  just promote it to 3D and use defocus.
  You can also nest effects so they’ll not affect tracks below.
