  AVID Mojo SDI Not detecting Betacam deck…Help!

  So i have my mojo connected to my computer and also to a sony UVW1800 betacam deck. When I try and look for the deck using the digital cut tool it gives me an error message saying Auto configure not successful because AVID DNA is not currently selected. How do i select this??

  Click the 1394/DNA button, jut above the timeline.

  You’re running this 422 with a keyspan or such? Which version of Media Composer please?

  Christian, the Mojo itself does not talk to any deck. It’s is purely Audio/Video i/o.

  If you’re on a mac you will need the Keyspan adapter. If you’re on a PC you can connect the deck’s remote cable to a serial port, via a 232>422 adapter.
