  Avid Unity BACK UP

  Hello all. I am going to be backing up all OMFI folders to an External Hard Drive soon. What is the best way to do this? We have 3 Avid Rooms and I was simply going to connect our EXT Hard drive into the Firewire 400 port on our old G4s and simply drag and drop each partition on our Fibre Manager onto the Hard Drive. I plan on naming each folder the name of the partition and in that folder drag and drop the folder titled “OMFI FILES (or FOLDER)” cant remember the exact name now.

  Also, while I am transferring these folders can i STILL work on an Avid in another room? We need to be working while this is getting done. Thanks!

  We have a Lanshare Unity and AVID MC VERSION 12 running on MAC G4’s with a very early version of MAC OS X running.
