  MC 3.0 trouble capturing problems

  Hi,
  New editor to MC after years of FCP. I am trying to capture video from my Sony HDV-1000E camera into the MC 3.0 which i just installed. The materials were shot in HD 1080i. Since the system does not have this camera in its selection I choose a generic deck PAL and though I can control the deck through the software I cant choose a channel to record. I keep getting a “no signal inpute”.

  What can I do?

  Make sure that you are in a 1080i project. Make sure the camera is not set to downconvert to DV output. Then MC should be able to “see” the cam as HDV over FireWire.
