As the subject says, with a project cut on FCP in Pal with all the media on drives, can anyone offer a suggestion as to the best way to complete the project in NTSC on a Avid Symphony meridien? I expect to use Automatic Duck for the timeline conversions, but if cut in Pal on FCP, can the project and media be converted to NTSC before it hits the Avid?
    thanks as always

Finish the project in Pal, than have the final output converted to NTSC by a dub house

we’ve tried some conversion with the FCP and found that being a lot of legacy 4×3 archive footage that the images getting to the avid don’t look fine. There’ll always be the frame rate change, but otherwise everything can still stay in house and not 26 conversion dubs made.
