I have a project that was edited on Avid Xpress Pro 5.7 and the audio was exported as wav files to be mixed in Apple Logic 8. The mix went fine and was exported from Logic 8 as wav files but now these files do not work in Avid Xpress or even Avid Media Composer V3.0. When I import them into Avid there is no audio on the media created and with Avid Xpress a warning message appears stating that there has been ‘an unexpected error’ and the media created ‘might not be usable’.

However If I play the wav files with Windows Media Player or Quicktime Player they play fine and I hear all the audio. Has anybody encountered this type of problem and know a solution?

Can you save out again from Windows Media Player or other audio application?

I tried to convert the wav files to aiff files using Switch Sound audio file converter but with no success. The aiff files import into Avid Xpress but only playback loud distorted noise.
