  Exporting Stills in Avid

  Hi there,

  I was wondering if someone might be able to help, I am using Media Comopser 3.0, my footage is in HD. When I export a graphic i.e. a frame grab, the resulting picture is soft and grainy. The image in Avid is as clear as a whistle.

  I have tried any number of settings/different file formats, is there something I’m doing wrong because I sure as hell can’t work it out?

  I usually use:
  JPEG (Quality optins: 100, Baseline and Progressive are checked)
  1920 x 1080 (16×9 square pixels) for 1080i video
  size to fit
  color level RGB
  Singel Field

  They always look good. hope it helps
