  Digitize 1080i/59.94 HDCam

  Hi

  I have a Sony 1080i/59.94 HDCam Master tape. The footage on it was shot on 24p film. The director didn’t get the FLEX file for me. How can I create the project on Avid if I want to edit with 24p?

  If you want to edit in NTSC 23,976, just do a dowm convert and log timecodes ending in 0 and 5. Set pulldown csdence to NORMAL/STANDARD (2:3:2:3) and capture away.

  Media Composer does not remove pulldown in HD like it does for SD.

  But I will do it on Avid Symphony Nitris. I just create a 1080i/59.94 project. It lost frames. Do you have more suggestions?

  What do you mean it lost frames? You are capturing a 1080i tape into a 1080i prokject amd you are losing frames?
