  Avid AAF export and sound editing

  Hey all.
  I’ve completed offline and online work on a project and I’m ready to start working on the sound track. I want to export the entire sountracks structure – devided into track and clips the Steinberg Nuendo 3.
  What’s the best way to do it?
  I’ve tried the AAF export in every possible option but when I import it to Nuendo is shows me empty tracks… The only way it worked is exporting eack track completely, but then I’ve lost the clips’ control.
  BTW – No OMF option in possible since I’m working on HD 720p.

  I work on Avid MC 3.0 and Nuendo 3..

  Please advise….

  Does your sequence contain Group Clips or tapeless media (P2 or XDCAM)?

  I have had to deal with similar behavior in another non-Pro Tools audio software product (Neve AudioFile).

  The best solution we came up with was to open the AAF in a ProTools system and re-export it. This stripped out whatever Audiofile didn’t like.

  Hey.
  This particular project was recorded on a P2 device, and I’ve tried other one that was shot on RED, and was debayered into MOVs.
  Why does it matter?

  Since I’m living in Israel, almost no one here is working on protools, so I don’t have any access to a platform…
  Any other sugestions?

  I asked because I saw this behavior with XDCAM media. Maybe something about tapeless media trips up some software. If you have access to ProTools, you might try importing and exporting an AAF through it.
