  Avid will not start

  Hi, I recently upgraded my Avid Xpress Pro to Media Composer and now the thing won’t start! The title page flashes up and at the bottom lefthand corner of the screen it says that the software is unregistered. I’ve tried updating the dongle, uninstalling everything to do with Avid on the computer and then reinstalling it again, doing a system restore, but nothing works! If anyone could help me out on this it would be greatly appreciated.

  When you say “tried updating the dongle” did you succeed in doing so? When you get info on the dongle, what version is it displaying?

  I didn’t succeed in updating the dongle, and it is showing that it is registered for MC 3.0

  I would start the dongle update process again.
