how to change track number on audio clip?
Gods of Avid –
I had a 4 channel (4 mics) audio clip that was recorded at 48KHz when it should have been recorded at 48.048 for syncing with film footage. So the clip was resampled in Protools, which spits out 4 files – one for each track. Problem is, when I import into Avid, all the tracks are marked as track A1. This means I can’t autosync them to my one video file. Avid ends up ‘grouping’ the audio files into one track, giving precedence to one of the channels. So my question is, is there a way to change the track number attribute on an audio clip? Update: I did a right-click/modify on the audio clip but the option to modify the track number gave an error saying it is a master clip and can’t be changed. Any ideas what to do? I have to change that darned track number …
Thank you,
