  Multicamera project question

  Hey guys and gals,

  Here’s my situation:
  I’m working on a multicamera project with film transfers from a live concert in 1970. They are transferred onto Digi’s and they have been imported. There is no relation in timecode to eachother. I’ve layered all the performed songs with all the camera angles I need, they range anywhere between 5-10 layers, including gaps due to roll outs etc.

  My Question:
  I need to know if there is a way, now that they are layered, to group the layers so that I could edit them in a multicamera mode within one layer? I know how to group clips that have the same timecode or by syncing inpoints, but not sure how to do it this way? or if its even possible?

  Sounds like you’ve done a little bit more work than you need to. Simply add a mark in on a sync point (a drummers stick click or hit, a singers eye blink). Once you have marked in points on ALL your layers, go to special / group, and select synch on inpoint. Voila’! Lay down your best audio track. Now go to multicam mode (shift+control+m) and you are golden.
