October 1, 2008 at 2:07 pmsend a QT reference to Sorenson and make it there.
1000 bitrate is mooore than enough for the web but Avid doesn’t make an encoder, really.
If it helps, I use 480X360, usually about 500 kbs, and 28k audio.

October 1, 2008 at 2:31 pmYou can also download the free windows media encoder from Microsoft…From Avid export an uncompressed AVI file, then use the windows media encoder to create your wmv. The windows media encoder is a great tool that creates fantastic compressions…and it is free !!

October 1, 2008 at 9:07 pmExactly what is wrong with the created file? And what was the acquisition format. I’ve exported plenty of one-pass WMVs from Avid and they look pretty good. Also, what are you using the WMV for? Web? Powerpoint?
