720p/59.94 to SD DBeta Help Please
Dear Video Professionals,
I am the chief audio engineer and in-house “tech” guy at a boutique post house in NYC. My boss has thrown me into the deep end of the pool by installing an Avid MC Adrenaline with the DNxcell HD card and booking in a 720p/59.94 P2 HD project with a terrific and deeply experienced, but non-technical editor doing his first HD edit of a 9 minute long-form on a wickedly short timeline! After many hours of wrestling the P2 files, the Avid, and a finicky Avid LVD drive array, we completed a rough edit in 4 hours that the client is thrilled with. We still need to import final graphics and do a sound mix, then output the 720p/59.94 to a Panasonic DVCpro HD (the 1400) HD master, as well as a NTSC 29.97 Digibeta SD master with final distribution (for now) taking place on SD DVDs generated from the DBeta SD master.
How do I properly achieve all of this??
I have already encountered the Digital Cut request for a video mixdown of the project. (Instead we made a tape of the rough via crash record, but I can’t make the masters that way.) HELP!! Any amount of detail will be helpful. I MUST ship on Friday 9/12!!!
Thank you in advance!
