    Hi, need some advice

I have being capturing a 25i Pal video ( from a MiniDV camcorder) with Avid Xpress, into a 25p PAl project format ( bad thing, right?)

I have already all video I will need captured and also half of the editing of the video done, so… I would like to kown if:

1- Is it possible to finish the editing in the 25p PAL format and transform the video format into 25i PAL at the end of the work …having a good result?
2- Is it possible to change the project format from 25p PAl to 25i PAL and keep on editing…with a good result

I would like to avoid, if possible, to recapture all video again, and lost all work done. The thing is… the aplication ( Avid) is not working very good and I think it could be for this matter.
In adition I think it will be better the interlaced format to export the video to see it on a TV screen, am I right?
Which one would the best solution? Is there any other posibility? (apart of starting all over again)
Anyway, whatever the solution may be( 1 or 2), how I do it
    thank
    sinc

When you hit play, the outout is 25i. The only difference is all effects are processed on frame boundaries (to match the content), so it will be done on 1/25th instead of 1/50th. That is a subjective call on your end if that is what you want.

Later versions of MC allow progressive to be worked in interlace as long as the frame rate is the same, so you are all set with PAL at 25fps. Create a 25i project, open bins from other project. Ignore warning message and move on.

First of all, thank for answering Michael
I am not sure about what you mean.
In your first statement: ¿Are you telling that I can work on 25p PAL until the end of the editing and export that way, and that the only thing will happen is a ” different appeareance” of the video, but it will be fine?
About your second statement: I am working with Avid Xpress Pro 6.6.4, do you think it will work? What do I have exactly to do…open a new project in Avid wiht 25i PAL, and then open from here bins from another project ?? ( is that possible? Can you open bins from a project you have no opened before?)
    Thanks again
    forgive my slowliness,
I am not natural English speaker, and I want to be sure I am doing right
