    Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a shortcut to adding audio nodes – at the moment I am selecting the Audio track and pressing N – is there a way I can avoid having to select the track and simply hold down a button and then click, or better yet just be able to set the mouse to add a node where I want?

I seem to be spending a lot of time pressing buttons before Avid will allow me to do anything!

    Thanks in advance

    Alex

There is no other way. Also, the rubberbanding does not come across on OMF export for sound post.
Bottom line, behave like any Avid editor, use the normal mixer, razor your clips and put dissolves on match frame edits if you want a fade up/down during a clip.
Also, place dissolves on begin/end of a clip if you want a fade.
Next you will start cursing on how those begin/end fades disappear when you move clips.
It’s the avid way. Do not swim against the stream or you’ll get nuts. (got multiple T-shirts…)

So true, so true! Although you can add edits on either side of your clip (assuming no adjacent clips) and eXtract and overwrite without losing your dissolves. That’s also the Avid editor way! Muuaaahhaa!

    Ok, thanks.

Though I think Avid needs a re-design, no need to be so complex in the cut and paste world.

    Cheers
