  color off when editing with AVID

  I shot a whole feature with my Varicam H27 using a 27in monitor to make sure everything look right. I edited it with Final Cut Pro. I didn’t have any probelms with color footage.

  I am having someone else edit some footage and he is using Avid. He says the footage is look green,flat and less color saturation. It is the same setup as before except using Avid instead of Final Cut Pro. I know Final Cut was made to work with the VaricamH27. Why is this happening color probelm happening with AVID and what can i do to fix it, so we don’t have to do so much color corection?

  you cannot go by what system it’s on. Your scopes and a properly calibrated NTSC monitor/your eyes are your tools for this.
  all decks are gonna vary playback a bit… hence the color bars at the front of every master.
