time code breaks
Posted by Davidblumenfeld on November 19, 2007 at 7:24 pmHi. I am trying to digitize to an Avid my DVX100A footage shot on 25P PAL (squeeze). It keeps stopping with a Time Code Break in the middle of scenes! ANY SUGGESTIONS?? THANKS>

November 20, 2007 at 8:15 pmMake sure you aren’t running anything else while digitizing. On one of my systems, I can’t log, batch dig and then cruise the Cow…the other system can’t handle it.
If that isn’t the problem, couple of options – try control track. Or black another tape, lay the footage to that tape…then you know you have a pristine time code.
If you are using a tape that’s been used a few times, TC can get a little wierd.
