  workflow help…please

  I have 2 tapes shot on HDCAM. The footage shows up as 23.98 pfs 1080 on the HDCAM deck.

  So, I set the deck system to 23.98pfs 1080, then start a 23.976 1080p project in Symphony and capture…so far so good.

  My final delivery will be an SD 29,97 (letterbox) and an HDCAM 1080i 59,94.

  The director saw the orginal tapes, and the captured material…he thinks that the footage seems jittery…my feeling is that it looks the same as the original. When we view the material as 1080i using the cross convert he likes the footage better (I feel it loses resolution). I guess I am looking for the best possible workflow to get this job done. Sorry if this has been covered, but I will be putting the spot together tomorrow and want to make sure that I am off to the right start.
