quick import question (old school AVID)
Hey guys,
I’m doing an animation for a client in after effects for them to import later into AVID. To give my client as much freedom as possible, I’m making the animation comp about 1800×1200 with the content smaller allowing for the effect flares and such to bleed significantly beyond the main graphics. The idea here is to let the client be able to shrink down the animation some and position where they want in the avid sequences (mine will be alpha channeled).
My question is what do you do in your avid setting or effects to have it retain the actual comp settings, rather than it automatically reducing it to 720×486, 72dpi. The more sophisticated AVIDs I’m pretty certain can do that, but my client has older avids (media composers, pc based, pre-adrenaline).
Techniques to accomplish this would be great. thanks!
Rick
