  • How do i see a client monitor with Avid Mojo?

Posted by Revmilo on October 18, 2007 at 1:48 pm

    Hi
I use AFX 7.0 and Avid Xpress Pro 5.6 on the same machine. The driver for the Avid Mojo to work with the client monitor is not compatible with being able to see AFX on the client monitor. Any idea how i can fix this problem?
    Thanks
    Milo

    my system is as follows:
    Dell 670
    3 Gb RAM
    Windows XP – Service Pack2
    NVIDIA Quadro FX 3400/4000
    Avid Xpress Pro – 5.6.6
    Mojo version 1
    After Effects 7.0

    Thanks in advance

Did you install Avid EMP? It’s a seperate installer on your Avid install disk. Install that, then you have to go your AFX Preferences and set it to use the Mojo. It should work-we had it working at my last job.

When you installed your Avid application did you install the After Effects EMP? The Mojo driver alone won’t send the signal from After Effects to the client monitor. Once you install the After Effects EMP, you should see the option to send the signal out on the “Edit” pulldown menu.

Did not try it lately, but i had a situation where avid HAD to run in the background to get it work, while others reported just the opposite. So try both…
