• Avid Media Composer

  importing movie files?????????????????????????

  I am having trouble importing movie files into avid media composer. I have them on my external hard drive and avid says it can’t recognize the format how do I get avid to recognize them?????????????

  What format are they?

  use another program to change em to something that works. I usually just use after effects but app like virtual dub come in handy in times like this.
  render to a quicktime with the proper avid codec (or the animation codec is always generic).
