October 1, 2007 at 10:32 amIf it comes in as a media file (no alpha), you could put on PIP, and keyframe the horizontal position from bottom to top or however you desire.
If it has an alpha, just keyframe the horizontal position.
Make sure to check your options on import. I forget the wording, but you want Avid to NOT resize it.

October 1, 2007 at 12:05 pmsorry but I think you didn’t understand my question
my problem is not the alpha
the problem is that if I import the file it either shows the whole file in the viewer window and the font looks so small that it is impossible to read and when i make it bigger it looks very very blurry and bad quality
or the other way is that I get only part of the file, clear font , good resolution but when I move it down or up I that is impossible to roll there is nothing above the line of the frame (meaning it becomes 567 instead of 5500)what am I missing here

October 1, 2007 at 12:35 pmTry applying the jpeg as a Pan & Zoom. Keyframe the roll with P&Z controls.

October 1, 2007 at 1:46 pmRead the help file on using P&Z. After you apply, you have to point to the jpeg using the effects editor controls for P&Z.

October 1, 2007 at 2:11 pmDo you have any version of Boris FX? It’s easy to import into Boris and roll the item on and off the screen.

October 1, 2007 at 8:08 pmWhen you imported it, did you check your options? Make sure you check the ‘don’t resize’ radio button. And import it at 1:1 and see if the quality improves…
