We have worked in multiple long format projects that have been shot at 23.976fps – downconverted and digitized into Avid Adrenaline / Symphony etc. Now however we are trying to do an offline for a feature doc – shot at 23.976 / F900 / – and end deliverable will be film.

I am just looking for the workflow. We have done multiple test with project setups 23.976 vs. 24p project. We are bringing in the offline material with TC burn in at 30F and 24F (TC sense on the F500 is set to 24F TC) The digitze tool is getting 24 timecode – but when we play the clip back it is 1 Frame off from the V1.TC – i.e. = 16:00 is equal to 15:29 – showing us 30 Frame TC and being 1 frame off.

Confusing I know – but if anyone can briefly post a walkthrough just so we can check our ins and outs and side to sides it would be great. It’s not like we are re-inventing the wheel – I am sure this process is completed multiple times a day.

Do you have the audio delay set to another value other than zero?

    anything 24fps

No – everything is set to zero.
Should I be in a 23.97 project – or a 24p project? Everything was shot at 23.97 – so to avoid the .01% pulldown in audio we stayed at 23.976.
