    Hi Gang,
We’re very excited to just have bought our very first Avid Adrenline. I’m trying to figure out which kind of mixer would be best to buy in regards to how many analog outputs there are. We’re making digital connections as well via SDI right now so I’m thinking that that we only need two, but i just want to make sure.

Our decks include: Sony’s digibeta A500, Betacam UVW1800,and DVcam DSR1800

    Thanks,
    Tom

yamaha 01v96 with an aes card, it will do everything for you, with remote control of automation gain across midi or usb thrown in. Great workhourse, loads of inputs + dynamics.

    Thanks for the reply Amheus!
I probably should have made myself more clear.
I’m deciding between the Mackie Onyx 1240 or the Mackie 1604. I would prefer to get the 1240 but would hate to be backed into a corner later.

I trying to figure out scenarios where i would need to capture/layoff 4 channels of audio whereas my sdi connection wouldn’t be feasable.

Am i completely forgetting something or is there something else i should consider??

    Regards,
    Tom

    you will love the 1604
I traded my automated yamaha in for one. Love it.
It’s simple and provides all the IOs I need with plenty of room to grow.
