Would like to export a frame higher than 72 dpi.
I am trying to export frames from my timeline in AVID to Photoshop so that I can use them in a press kit. Every time I export a frame/graphic, no matter the type of graphic (jpeg, tif, psd, etc), it exports at 72 dpi and I need it to export at 300 dpi. Is there a way to change the resolution setting?
I am using AVID Xpress Pro HD v5 2.4.

I don’t think you’re able to.
Bear in mind that dpi is just a ratio between the print size and the pixels your image is made up from. So your image is probably about 720×480 (NTSC?) (Unless you’re high def or PAL or whatever) – So, if you want a 300dpi image from the 720×480 image, you can either change the dpi in photoshop (or any reasonable print package) and end up with a tiny image or resample the image in the print package and end up with a largish image at high dpi but quite poor quality.
So in a nutshell, the screen dpi is 72, so you can’t get any more than that from avid. you can ‘upsample’ in a third party application, but that’s about it.
