  Express Pro Dissolves not working – HELP

  Avid Express Pro HD 5.5.3

  Hi guys,
  I’m editing PAL DV25 that has come in via P2 using the Media Tool.

  Footage looks fine, but as soon as I try and add a dissolve to the front or end of the clip, it plays fine, but if I render it, ONLY the dissolve part of the clip has the image scaled up by about 50%.. ie. I get a jump-cut with scaled up image at the transition point. As mentioned, it only happens after I hit render.
  Any ideas…. is it a bug of some kind?

  first, try closing the bin your sequence is in and reopening it.
  then, try ditching your user settings and recreating them.
  I wish I could help you hone in on th cause of this. There are still just too many bugs to nail down.

  Hi, My friend has an Avid (version 4.1) and it has stopped making dissolves…I’m a FCP user but I thought someone might know if it’s a software of a hardware problem and if so which board it might be. Thanks, Roger
