  Good “Scratchy Film” plug-ins

  Hi all,
  Wondering if anyone around here knows any good avid express plug-ins that can give video a scratchy film look and also add fake burn outs. I’ve yet to come across one and any guidance would be most appreciated.

  On Adrenaline there are the BCC3 File Burn and Film Damage efx that work great. I don’t know if they are normally availableon express, but you should be able to get them from Boris.

  If you’re willing to spend the $299 for Boris FX, the newest version is an amazing suite worth much more than that. One of its best filters is “Film Damage,” which is the same BCC filter provided in the more expensive (but not more powerful) BCC suite. It’s very flexible, with adjustments for scratches, dirt, hair, tint, flicker, and weave.
