  Working with 720p/25 (p2-card) on Avid Xpress Pro workflo

  Hi,
  I have a project shot on Panasonic avx 200 with p2-cards, 720p/25 (PAL). My problem is that my version of Avid, 5.5.2, do not support this format. My question is: does the last update of Avid (5.7) support 720p/25? Or are there any way to work with this footage without loosing quality? I’ve heard someone mentioning that I can transcode the footage – but in what kind of project format and what exactly will the transcoding-process generate?

  I would be pleased by any help, any tip!

  And do you know anything about the JVC ProHD 720p/25 support?
