Can someone give me a clear answer on this

I want to export footage form my Avid xpress Pro to After Effects

    1. I make sure my monitors are in the correct aspect ratio 4:3 or 16:9

    2. I choose qt referance, native dimensions, check the “use AVID DV Codec ” button

This will give me the proper file size when I go to AE. Is this correct?

Thanks in advance, this forum is always very helpful

It should. When you import your Qtime reference file into AE, right click the clip and choose Interpret Footage–>Main (Ctrl+F on a PC), then double check that everything is being read right. For example, that your frame rate is right, your field order is right, and your pixel aspect ratio is right. If not, set it so it is, then you should be fine. I find that if I export a Qtime reference lower field first, AE doesn’t always recognize it. Otherwise it seems to do a fine job.

    Michael.
