Displaying just the source monitor and make it BIG (!) in MCA…??
Hello.
System is MCA HD 2.x on HP 8200, single LCD monitor.
We would like to set up the system just for manually playing off single clips in a live production type of situation. Does anyone know if there is a way to display just the source monitor, AND make it really BIG? When I drag the sorce/record monitors, they change from one to two and vice versa, but with just the source window, it always stays rather small. I want to close the timeline window and just display the project, bin and source monitor window. And drag that window out as BIG as I can get it!-)

At the risk of sounding arrogant, how about using the client monitor?
Or, (dunno if MCA can), set your LCD to, eer, FULL SCREEN?

Turns out, if you first narrow the two monitors down so much that they snap into just one, you can then drag that one out to fill almost the whole screen. You have to drag it downwards, not to the right. Only problem it’s not a source monitor anymore. You have to make a sequence out of everything you want play in that window, but we can live with that. (Doubleclicking a clip will, as everyone knows, bring up a separate floating window.) Anyway, this will work great for the intented use. I’ll go away now. Thanks, bye.

while you’re at it, i can remember there is a function somewhere (forgot where of course), to ‘cue’ the clip.
(doing all the preload stuff and so).
Use that when you have time. When the producer shouts, you have instant start instead of ‘about’ instant start.hth
