  Rolling title jitters

  I’m working with an Avid Adrenaline HD 5.0 and I’ve created a rolling title approximately 3 minutes long which has a vertical jitter. I’ve created similar titles for other projects with no problem. Avid help suggests trimming the title a few frames to correct this but gives no idea how many frames and my random attempts to apply this solution have had no results. At the suggestion of Advid tech support I recreated the entire title and re-rendered, still with no results. Anyone had any luck overcoming this problem?

  your only options are to change the font, font size or change the speed of the roll.
  Makes ya want an old toaster sometimes, doesn’t it?

  Rolling titles need to move an even number of scan lines per FRAME to avoid interlace jitter. At 480 lines per frame and 30 frames/sec, that’s 2, 4, 8 and 16 seconds for a scan line to move from the bottom to the top of the frame.
