  ae cs4 start-up problem

  Having a problem with AE CS4 at start-up. “After Effects Warning Unknown Exception”. When closing out the warning screen AE shuts down. Does this sound like a fatal exception and do I have any options other than to reinstall?

  Have you updated to After Effects CS4 (9.0.2)?

  Thanks for responding Todd. I have updated as you suggested and was still having the problem. I read some other posts and performed the shift,option, command at start-up and it is now starting up again.
