I am at a complete loss and hoping someone has encountered the same problem.
I have onlined a 1 hour program – 59.94i – and have begun to up-rez the pictures used for the show. However everytime I use the Avid Pan and Zoom tool to do moves on the HD quality pics – I get “NOT ENOUGH MEMORY TO LOAD IMAGE” – I clear the memory from the Project / Bin menu – and then BAM “Avid has encountered a fatal error”

Avid support has no idea whats happening. They have said there is no file size limit that they know of at this time. The pictures are under 3.0mb each being about 2000×2000+ px. (All under 3000)

    Symphony Nitris version 1.5.3
    xw8200 hp workstation
up to date drivers and all…

any ideas or if anyone has had memory erros – all advice is welcome – all ranting is welcome as well.

    Thanks!
    Dustin

what happens if you try and load a smaller image? do you have any other applications open?

So far – it happens on all images. However – I just got off the phone with Avid Ds support and after changing some actual code in the bio’s – things are running smoother.

I sent my pics to Avid and they recreated my sequence or at least a few clips and tried the same moves, color corrections and are getting the errors. The image turns to Green when High quality is selected and then a fatal runtime error occurs.

So by fixing one memory error – right clicking on my computer – general and :edit: replacing userva2400 with userva2500 we have re-allocated the proper memory. Only bad thing is we seemed to have introduced a new error.

I am sure this post is as confusing as my phone convesation.

Until then….back to internet browsing, i mean rendering.

    What type of image file?

If JPEG, try converting them to TIFF or some other format. JPEGs are more memory intensive than some formats.

We have tried TIFF’s / PCTS / JPGS – you name it. I have found a work around but it can be very slow.

After selecting the image using the Avid Pan & Zoom effect – I then create my move – immediately render – save – and then clear the memory from the project window / bin window. Reopen a sequence and play back the effect making sure the picture is there. I then can add another effect on top – acting as a clip effect – and render – save repeat. Its just that with a 1 hour doc – I feel other post houses / users have to be using and doing the same process or something like it…..

    until then……water – soap – rinse – repeat.

Hi, we currently have added a Symphony Nitris 1.02 and are waiting for the 1.6 version before we update. However, we are having problems with the Digital Output that there seems to be problems with the Audio slipping 1 frame from the video on output. We had 2 DigiBeta decks replaced and checked and they are without errors.

Did anyone see a similar sort of problem with the earlier versions of Symphony Nitris?

    Best Regards,
