  Sony DSR11

  Hello, I’m using a Sony DSR-11 with Avid Mojo SDI/Media Composer 2.5.3 I’m unable to connect the deck through DNA, it will only see it through 1394. This seems to be causing latency issues through the firewire bus when previewing footage from the deck (i’m using a HP Xw8200, with no other FW device being used on the FW bus). The client monitor and preview panel are out of sync with each other, where as the audio is in sync with the client monitor; preview panel is about a half second behind. If you plug a pair of headphones directly into the PC the audio will be in sync with the preview panel. Capture and playback is fine, everything in sync with audio. It’s just during preview where audio and client monitor are in sync and preview panel is behind half a second. Any ideas?

  Have you tried turning off DNA, installing and powering up the DSR-11, then turning on the DNA? I’m assuming you’ve set up the deck properly in the deck configuration menu within Avid?

  yeah, i’ve tried different power cycling routes and everything, i’m sure i have the deck configuration correct, it’s just when you set the channel in deck configuration to DNA it just says No Deck, it only sees it when you set the channel to OHCI. strangeeeee.
