    Hello
We are working on a feature film, 35mm, telecined into DVCAM NTSC. We get the polyphonic mixdown audio from an Aaton hard drive recorder.
the bwf files that are supposed to be read by avid do import, but only few of them get the metadata right, the rest just import the file name and some other bits. Any idea what could we be doing wrong?
    thanks

    hi,
the files actually import correctly into a NTSC 30i project, but don’t to a 24p project.
Is there any process that needs to be done before importing them?
    thanks

I think I’ve heard of this problem from someone else. Try to import just one bwf into the 24fps project. does that work? then import the rest as a group of files.

I remember someone having a similar problem, and the solution was to import a single file first, and then import a group of files. For whatever reason, importing a group of flies right off the bat was giving them problems.

    hope that helps.

Even one by one they don’t import correctly.
we have found a temporary solution installing Xpress Pro 4.8 in a g4. we import them there and then take the media and the bin into our project.
I have been askin at the avid forum as well, but nobody has a solution yet.
