If I had a dime…
Just got this request, yet again, from another producer of a live-to-air TV production. Boy, if I had a dime…
“…to fix things for a re-broadcast of our live show that aired last week, we scheduled an Avid edit with you to fix a flub. What we need from you is this:
– edit out about 10 seconds of video
– edit out the corresponding audio
– remove the live closed captioning that displays the audio we’ll be cutting, but don’t change any of the other captioning.”(And sure enough, the captioning is delayed about 6 seconds.)
One of these days, I’d love to just say “sure thing, we can do that”. Kind of like when someone calls your cell asking to place a pizza order – of course you take the order, right?
Doh! (Although I hear Adrenaline v2.5.1 is making strides in the right direction by maintaining captioning on L21?)
