Avid Express 3.0 HELP
I bought avid express about 3 years ago along with a compaq workstation….and really i knew nothing about…well anything…except how to edit. When i bought it, they came to my house, and set everything up for me…installed it…customized it..everything, so it was ready to use. okay so, just last week, my hard drive crashed and had to be replaced, and i had to reinstall everything.
after reinstalling avid, everything seems to be out of whack. for starters there doesn’t seem to be a default workspace set up. the timeline is off to the side, the viewing windows are all over the place and when i try to move them, they snap around, sometime even off screen. and on top of that, i can’t capture. while my camera is connected i can autoconfigure the deck and it reads as being there, but when i click the video button on, it says there is no input signal present. i used to get that message when the camera wasnt hooked up right, but everything seems fine to me. what am i doing wrong? would i have these problems if i upgraded to pro?
windows 2000 avid express 3.0
thanks for any input.
