Avid xpress on XP home edition
Posted by Paul Brubacher on March 30, 2006 at 2:07 amWill any of the xpress products work on XP home edition. I’m wanting to learn the interface, because I will be using an adrenaline soon.
Thanks,

April 1, 2006 at 1:18 amOnly Avid Liquid 7 supports WinXP Home. But it doesn’t have the “Avid” interface, and really isn’t part of the “Avid” family…yet. As of now, Liquid 7 is in its own class.
All other Avid NLE’s require WinXP Pro (some with SP2) to run.

April 6, 2006 at 9:30 pmAlthough not qualified, it will work on XP Home but you need to perform a few ‘tweak’ om the operating system to make sure it i OK. Evene after that, I seem to remember that you can have problems with different users and trying to move projects. One thing for certain is that you MUSt turn off Simple File Sharing.

I hope you are the Brian Cutts who helped me tremendously in Doha during the Asian Games. I forgot to get your details then, so I try it through this way. If you are the one I mean please contact me.
