  Avid help HVX/Varicam

  So,

  I am working on a show and we are shooting with the Varicam (A-Cam) and the HVX-200 (B-Cam.)

  We want 24fps progressive, but the ultimate end result for this project will be on video (29.97fps)

  The project will be edited on an Avid Express and media composer.

  So, in order to get the HVX to match, and cut with the Varicam footage what would the proper shoot setting for the HVX be???

  I’ve been searching through threads looking for info, and there hasn’t been any time to test. And now we are on location.

  I am tempted to shoot 720p/24pn as of this moment…but I am afraid it wont make the proper transition to a 29.97 timeline…

  I AM going to test some of this on my FCP 5 system on my powerbook…but I know nothing of Avid. Which format is currently supported by Avid?

  Any help/advice is appreciated, thank you in advance.
