I use Avid express 3.5 in my HP laptop. I have a Sony GV-D100E (PAL) DV player. When I export the timeline to tape the video in the tape is with a lot of artifacts and “noise”? It looks like a Codec problem. Does anyone knows if I have to install a codec in my computer to be able to copy to tape?
    Best regards,

What resolution did you bring your video in? Do you have the little blue button on? You’re coming out of firewire I assume? Are you using a converter (we had a box to convert firewire to analog video…)?

    Hi Jon.
The broght the video in via the same DV player. Is DV , and yes, it’s connected via firewire. I don’t think I need any converting box, it’s digital to digital, isn’t it?
I looked at the time line and the “little buton” is green. I was redaing about this togle real time on off and I don’t really get it. Is green for real time efcts on, right? Do I have to have it off (blue) to export via firewire?
