  need help with an effect

  I’m editing on Avid Xpress DV 3.0, PC.
  i have video on v1, and video on v2,
  the video on v2 has an avid superimpose effect,
  so you can see v1 slightly.

  Now, I want to put a Boris title effect over these two shots. I tried “stepping” into v2, and doing the Boris title there, but I get a black video under, my pictures disappear. I tried stepping into v2, and doing the superimpose there, and Boris over the nest, but I still get black.
  I even tried doing a video mixdown of v1 and v2, but keep getting black
  when I add the Boris title effect.
  Please help. Thank you

  IS YOUR TITLE ON V3? FROM MY EXPERIENCE WITH BORIS, YOUR TITLE OR GRAPHIC IS ABOVE THE VIDEO AND THEN YOU ADD THE EFFECT ON THE GRAPHIC, AND MAKE SURE TITLE MATTE IS ON.
  I WOULD NEED SOME MORE INFO ON WHAT YOU HAVE. BCC? OR WHAT?
