When I open up the capture tool in Avid Xpress Pro on my mac laptop which is running 10.3.9 Where the drives are, it says that “all drives filtered out” and they are greyed out as well. What is the problem? Thanks…Chad Nelson

I usually edit on Symphony, but I assume this solution should hold true for both Symphony and Xpress:
Go into your Digitize Preferences (“Capture” prefs on Xpress?), and un-click “Filter drives based on resolution”.
    That should do the trick.

Are you using a shared storage solution such as Unity or lan share?
If so make sure you have at least one workspace mounted on your shared storage.

    Also ctrl + 5
will typically open your media creation settings, you can change your drive filtering by system/launch and resolution.

    Hope this helps?

SETTINGS/MEDIA CREATION/Drive Filtering based on resolution. Uncheck this.
    you will be fine.
