  Avid DV Pro: Audio Distortion at end of clip during QT import

  I have a large amount of 30 second spots that I am importing from QT 640 by 480, 29.97 into the AVID DV Pro. After import, I get a burst of static (only long enough to hear it about 5 frames) at the end of the spot WHEN I stick it in the timeline behind another spot. Just one spot on the timeline, no burst. Add more, and every spot will do it. I’m a novice to the DV Pro. I just installed two days ago so I’m not sure of my settings. I also am familiar with tracking down conflicts (any one use the DV500?) so any good directions to point me in would be appreciated.
