hi there, i have some questions about avid-express pro HD.
is it possible to capture from the panasonic AJ-HD1200 over firewire,
    reeding 60p and edit this in a PAL-confirm timeline, like 25p or 50i ?
or, does avid express pro hd can capture a slowmotion, writen in 60p?
anyway, my english is not the best…i hope you understand my problem…
at this time we are working with final cut pro HD and we want to buy an avid system for a better workflow with our television stations.
the avid system will be on a pc-system, also maybe on a mac-system…but the mac can wait…

Not possible until Xpress Pro HD 5.5 is released. Even if your 1200A has the downconverter board, you cannot downconvert HD tape to the Firewire port. So you would need to capture and edit HD media.

Actually you can it’s in the DIF menu settings, i think it’s the 800’s. You need to set the IEEE1394 standard to DV, and you might need to slow the transfer rate to S100.
