    Whatever you wind up using, make sure you don’t let it run in the background, or let it scan your media drives. Running in the background eats up a lot of the system resources that Avid needs to run smoothly, and running on your media drives will drive the system nuts with the constantly changing data.

    My suggestion is to just let the antivirus software periodically scan your system drive.

    I’d agree with that. We use Norton/Symantec and set for an update and full scan in the early hours of the morning.

    Make sure realtime scanning is switched off while you capture and edit.
