  Video out to TV Monitor

  I have just purchased Avid Xpress Pro 4.6. I have a Sony DSR-45 deck and a small 13″ TV for my monitor. I have a firewire cable going from my computer to the deck and an RCA cable going from the deck to the TV. I have tried two deck settings in Avid Xpress Pro. The first was a generic NTSC deck and the second was the DSR-45 setting. But, when I click the “green” light on the timeline to “blue,” I see no video in the TV monitor. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? Thanks very much in advance.

  If on an effect of any kind, it will need to be rendered first.

  No, it’s not on an effect, just trying to view un-effected video as I edit. Thanks.

  Lok under the “special” menu to make sure the “output” something or another is acitve. I am not in front of a system right now..

  Does the DV Deck display “DV In” ?
